#KindnessPlay
What Kindness Play Is
Kindness Play is joyful, structured practice of kindness as a skill. Kids notice a moment, choose one clear move, act it out, then mark it with a thumbs-up. It turns ordinary play into practice of the Kindness Cycle — Notice, Choose, Act, then give it a thumbs up.
You can start right away with stories, activities, and the figures or toys already at home. No special sets required.

See Play ActivitiesHow Play Sparks Kindness
- Stories give a clear first try. Team HeroKindness Adventures show one skill in a short, real-life moment so kids know exactly what to do.
- Ordinary toys become practice tools. Kids can role-play the same moment with figures or vehicles they already own.
- Visible acknowledgment helps it spread. A thumbs-up, a specific thank-you, or “Caught a K-Spark!” makes the act more likely to be noticed and repeated.
- Ownership sticks. When kids invent their own version of the story or vehicle, the skill feels like theirs.
Flip the Script
Ordinary play and reactions often default to exclusion, frustration, or passive “be nice.” Kindness Play flips that into specific, repeatable moves.
| Ordinary default | Kindness Play flip | Skill |
|---|---|---|
| Kid left at the edge of the game | Walk over and ask, “Want to join us?” | Welcome Wave |
| Sharp word about to come out | Pause three seconds, then thumbs-up instead | Kindness Pause |
| Quiet helper goes unnoticed | Name it: “Caught a K-Spark!” | Catch the K-Spark |
| “I’m the worst” after a mistake | Flip to “I’ve got this. I’m learning.” | Kind Self-Talk |
| Spill or dropped item, everyone walks past | “I’ve got a hand for that.” | Help Choice |
The UKV Is Coming
HeroKindness Universal Kindness Vehicle (UKV) — early concepts, in development.
The UKV is designed to make the same skills even more visible. It will project a thumbs-up and launch K-Sparks so kind acts become something others can see and join. It will take time to develop and launch. Kindness Play does not need to wait.
