Write your own brand

Teen Superpower is the power to write your own script —
and kindness is the skill that makes it stick.

I have the power to be my own brand.

Updated September 19, 2026

Period 1 workshop. Learn what a brand is, see a person as a brand, then write one sentence. Keep it private if you want.

Our approach

We do not start by asking you to “build a brand.” We start by learning what a brand is. Then we connect it to a person. Then you write one line.

Label vs brand — 20 seconds

A label is what people call you. Athlete. Quiet. Funny. Smart. It’s a nickname, not the whole you.

A brand is what people feel after being around you. How you show up. How you treat yourself. How you treat them.

Start with a label if it helps. Don’t stop there. Write the next sentence.

1 · Learn branding

A brand is the feeling people get from how you show up — again and again. Not a logo first. Not a hoodie. Not a handle. Brands are made by repeated actions, words, and how people are treated.

The parts: packaging, promise, personality, values, story. Quality is how well those parts hold.

2 · Connect it to a person

A product has a box and a promise. A person has a way of walking into a room and a way of treating people. You already are a brand. The question is whose story you are wearing — a label, a feed, a nickname from one hard day — or your own.

Part A product A person
Packaging Box, colors, logo How you show up — energy, posture, chats, posts
Promise “This works. You can trust it.” “People feel better after being with me.”
Personality Fun, bold, serious Your vibe. Honest. Still becoming.
Values Words on a website Kindness you actually practice
Story An ad The kind acts you repeat — chapters
Quality How well it works How you treat yourself and other people

Kindness is the superpower underneath a personal brand. It is the skill that keeps the brand human. Without it, the brand defaults to cool, loud, or invisible.

3 · Apply it

Only then write one honest line.

I have the power to be my own brand.

Then your sentence. Kindness is the skill that makes it stick.

Tools from adults. Script from you.

Branding 101 is next. The statement tool is after that. Fifteen minutes: Lesson 1 + one sentence is enough.

Schools: this is the 15-minute intro. One sentence is enough. Sharing is optional. Do not grade it.
Period 2+: brand journey — Get-Together first, drama later. Adult page: /teen-superpower-for-schools/

Branding 101 for teens

Five short lessons. Expand one, write, then move on.

15 minutes: Lesson 1 + the statement tool is enough.

Lesson 1: Purpose of a brand – who I want to become

A brand is the feeling people get from how you show up—consistently.

Core promise: Be kind to yourself and others.

1. What feeling do people currently get from me?

2. What feeling do I want them to get?

3. Who do I want to become?

4. How can kindness as a skill help the script stick?

Lesson 2: Person as a brand

Same parts as a product brand. Applied to a person — you.

  • Packaging — how you show up
  • Promise — how people feel around you
  • Personality — your vibe
  • Values — kindness + yours
  • Quality — how you treat people
  • Story — the kind acts you repeat

Core promise: Be kind to yourself and others.

Lesson 3: Your story – life journey chapters

Write 2–3 chapters: title + what happened + what it says about you.

Lesson 4: Write your brand statement

A short declaration of who you are, what you stand for, and the feeling you create.

I have the power to be my own brand.

Next: use the tool below.

Lesson 5: Live it – write your own script

Stop following someone else’s script. Kindness is the skill that makes yours stick.

Whose script have I been following? What am I ready to release? One proof action this week.

Then the brand journey

After one sentence, take the work into school and real life if you want.

Labels are the cover. Your story is the book. Lead with a Get-Together. Drama is later.

Label yourself

2–4 words. Then one layer deeper: I am a ______ who…

4-week plan

Write the line. One proof action. One chapter. Show it once — or keep it private.

Get-Together first

Pair with someone new. 8–12 minutes. No performance.

Drama later

Only if the class already has a sentence and wants to perform it.
