Become a Kindness Home
A household that practices kindness on purpose. Not a perfect home. A consistent one.
Make a Kindness Home RockWhat It Is
A Kindness Home is a place where kindness is modeled, practiced, and expected. It is a choice, a habit, and a symbol.
A choice
The family agrees to choose Thumbs Up Instead of the sharp reply, at the table and when the day is already hard.
A habit
One thank-you. One weekly Family Kindness Meeting. One pause before a harsh word.
A symbol
The Kindness Home Rock stays in the house. Present, solid, and enduring. Quiet, and effective because it stays.
Kindness Starts at Home
One home practicing kindness creates a ripple that reaches schools, neighborhoods, and the next generation.
Inside the home
More connection, fewer conflicts, stronger trust, and children who feel safe and valued.
At school
Children who already know how to notice, wait, and choose a kinder response.
In the neighborhood
Small acts that are easier to offer outside because they were practiced inside.
Across generations
Grandparents, parents, and children passing on the same habit.

Who It Is For
Friends
Tools for the people closest to the home, not only the people in it.
What Homes Face — and How Kindness Helps
Kindness does not remove the pressure. It changes the response.
The issue
Nobody feels heard
Talk becomes logistics or interruptions.
The kindness move: One Family Kindness Meeting. One voice at a time. End with a thumbs-up.
The issue
Chores, screens, and moods
Daily friction turns into sharp replies.
The kindness move: Pause three seconds. Choose Thumbs Up Instead.
The issue
No time for a program
Schedules shrink real time together.
The kindness move: Ten to twenty minutes, once a week. The meeting is the time.
The issue
Stress sets the tone
Work or money walks in the door and stays in the room.
The kindness move: One sincere thank-you at home before the day runs away.
The issue
Children copy the sharp reply
They repeat what they see.
The kindness move: Adults model the pause. A child leads one meeting a month.
The issue
Kindness stays invisible
Good intentions fade by Tuesday.
The kindness move: The Kindness Home Rock stays where everyone can see it.
Five Steps

- Say the pledge. Use the Family pledge, or Our Kindness Home pledge, on the certificate page.
- Hold one Family Kindness Meeting. Rock in the center. Appreciations first.
- Practice the Kindness Cycle for 7 days. A kind act, a thumbs-up, a smile. One thank-you inside the home each day.
- Print the certificate. Sign Our Kindness Home Certificate and place it with the rock.
