Kindness Ambassadors
As we practice act of kindness we all become Kindness Ambassadors - leading the way.
Instead of volunteers we choose ambassadors to join the ThumbsUpForKindness movement on terms that make sense to you and to attract a broader participation.
There are many stakeholders in kindness- and all can become ambassadors.
A Kindness Ambassador is anyone who chooses to support and spread kindness — in their own way, with whatever they have to give.
Volunteers → time, energy, presence
Students → daily kind acts, sharing with friends
Seniors → wisdom, encouragement, small gestures
Small businesses → creative, low-cost ways to show kindness to customers & staff
Large corporations → financial support, reach, resources. We will have traditional sponsorship opportunities.
Social media users → sharing the message, amplifying kindness

Parents
We realize parents teach through their actions and ultimately have a great influence on how their children develop. We are hoping students will bring the kindness pledge home from school and engage in family discussions on ways to be kind to each other. Either way parents can also take the kindness pledge and develop more kindness in the household, community and at work.
Grandparents
This is how the ThumbsUpForKindness campaign got started - as grandparents we wanted to engage with our grandchildren on a project we could work on together and prepare our grandchildren for success in life. It is special time and a great influence to explore kindness in the past and future. In addition, as we get older we still can learn and practice kindness.
Businesses
Kindness is a key success strategy in employee and customer retention. Think about making the kindness pledge within your business. As your kindness program expands so will your business!
Students
We believe students will lead the way and discover ways to be kind, develop kindness as a life skill and create a foundation of kindness in our schools, homes and communities. Students have a lot to gain from kindness. The benefits of happier, safer and better prepared students for life is a key goal and outcome of kindness.
Communities
If we all take on a role of the kindness pledge we will enjoy our communities more. Our community leaders can also take the pledge and make our communities a safer and happier place to live.
Ourselves
Kindness can start inward by being kind to ourselves. We should start with kind acts to ourselves with exercise, real food choices, positive influences and speak kindly to yourself.
Schools
Kindness is a great learning opportunity that can be simple and effective to teach and engage students. We have many ideas and resources being developed to help this curriculum along. Our goal is to have every student make a kindness pledge and to learn about and develop kindness life skills. We are trying to reduce negativity/bullying, impact mental health and develop this important life skill of kindness
